AutoPro Series of Chargers

The Hawkins AutoPro series of chargers are fully automatic temperature compensated microprocessor controlled battery chargers. The charging stages include battery detection, soft start, bulk charge, absorption charge, and float, all while accuartely monitoring the temperature and optimising charge curve.

These chargers are suitable for charging all types of lead/calcium-, flooded, maintenance free, sealed-, gel-, deep-cycle or AGM batteries

During the bulk charging stage a temperature compesated current is applied to the battery replacing the bulk of the energy. During the absorption phase the voltage is held constant for a predetermined period while carfully monitoring the current as the battery voltage risies, to ensure that 100% charge has been achieved.

After the battery has been fully replenished the charger switches to float mode which maintains the terminal voltage of the battery.
The Hawkins AutoPro chargers may be left connected to the battery indefinately and will maintain the battery state of charge.
